PARIS, France – The auction of a portion of the former Chanel artistic director’s holdings at Sotheby’s brought in four times the pre – sale estimates.
KARLS’S COLLECTION: Part of Karl Lagerfeld’s estate has been sold, with Sotheby’s Monaco closing an auction Monday that brought 12 million euros – roughly four time the pre – sale estimates. The first section of Chanel’s former artistic director’s estate began selling Friday both in person, in Monaco, and online. In total, 582 lots were sold.
